Six Conditions of the Conscience

Conscience_011.  Good Conscience—a good witness—1 Pet. 3:21
While the world accuses, this strengthens its owner by testifying to him that he is not guilty.

2.  Pure Conscience—a pure witness—2 Tim. 1:3
The testimony of this witness is unmixed. It is completely favorable.

3.  Perfect Conscience—a perfect witness—Heb. 9:9
Because forgiveness (v. 14) has taken away his sins, this man’s conscience tells him he is now whole.

4.  Defiled Conscience—a defiled witness—1 Tim. 4:2
This conscience has been abused till it is dumb.

5.  Evil Conscience—an evil witness—Heb. 10:22
This conscience is evil for the cause of its owner because it tells him plainly that he is guilty and he does not believe it.

6.  Weak Conscience—a weak witness—1 Cor. 8:12
This poor conscience is too poorly informed to know what to say.
