What do your children see in you?

There is no mirror more telling and brutally honest than the mirror of your children!

There is nothing as humbling, humiliating and eye-opening as seeing your actions reflected in your children—particularly your sinful actions.

At the same time, there is nothing more shameful than when your children need to find their example in other people. Shouldn’t they see the glory of their Lord in you? Shouldn’t they see an example worthy of emulation in you?

At some point, your children will cease doing what you say and start doing what you do. All the instruction in the world can never match the power of a good example (cf. 1 Tim. 4:12; 1 Cor. 11:1)!
